In a press conference held April 29, St. David’s HealthCare announced the opening of Heart Hospital of Austin at St. David’s Round Rock—a 15,390-square-foot facility located at St. David’s Round Rock Medical Center—which will serve as an extension of Heart Hospital of Austin. The facility will open May 1 at 7 a.m.
Heart Hospital of Austin at St. David’s Round Rock will include a leading-edge facility for cardiologists and surgeons to treat cardiovascular patients. This dedicated cardiovascular outpatient facility will adopt the same clinical protocols and programmatic elements of Heart Hospital of Austin. To meet the increased need for cardiac services, St. David’s Round Rock Medical Center has added additional ICU beds, and the hospital will add a new specialized hybrid operating room this summer.
Heart Hospital of Austin has been named one of the Top 50 Cardiovascular Hospitals® in the nation by Truven Health Analytics for eight years and, along with its parent campus, St. David’s Medical Center, to Truven’s list of 100 Top Hospitals for two years. Heart Hospital of Austin at St. David’s Round Rock will bring the same exceptional services to Williamson County.
